This includes working closely with all functional areas within IT and the business to develop, communicate, and implement processes that provide effective and timely business and technical solutions.

Nominations are now being accepted for 2012-2013 PMI OKC Board of Directors. All offices listed below are open for nominations, and are all two-year terms. This is a great way to get involved with PMI and the local chapter.Board Members get to work with a fantastic team of Project Managers in our chapter and across PMI, PLUS earn PDUs under categorie E towards PMP re-certification!!

The following Board of Directors positions are up for election for the 2012-2013 term.

Qualification and Requirements: To qualify to sit on the PMI Oklahoma City Board of Directors, candidates must be PMI OKC members in good standing and hold one of any of the PMI certifications (CAPM, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, PMP, or PgMP). Candidates should submit their interest in one of the below positions with a brief paragraph of their bio and their vision for serving PMI OKC in this position. Total work should not exceed 250 words. Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by others. Submissions should be sent to nominations@pmiokc.org.

Vice President of Membership: The Vice President of Membership compiles and maintains the official membership list of the Chapter, as well as PMI members in the area who are not also Chapter members (prospects). The Director of Membership prepares and publishes a Chapter membership directory to all current members annually, and follows up on members who have failed to pay current dues.

Vice President of Professional Development: Encourages the development of project management professionals, responsible for professional education programs, interfaces with the PMI Headquarters on PMP certification matters, and oversees scholarship program efforts with local Universities and Colleges. Also coordinates with the Vice President of Programs on chapter events that have educational components.

Vice President of Programs: Responsible for planning, scheduling, arranging, and supervising the performance of each PMI event; directs the development of a program theme for the year; plans, schedules, and arranges Chapter program meetings; develops awards plan to recognize Chapter achievements; Master of ceremonies for each Chapter meeting.

Director-at-Large (2012 - 2013): The Directors at Large shall exercise independent accountability and responsibility on matters of governance and oversight in the best interest of the membership ensuring that activities and decisions are in alignment with the Chapter charter, bylaws, vision, and mission statements. The Directors at Large may be appointed to other reasonable and customary duties by the President with the approval of the Board.
